When Rusk founder (and Scottish superstar) Irvine Rusk came to the U.S., he relaunched the product lines he originally developed for a European consumer. Seeking a creative collaborator that was in tune with his maverick vision, he hired Rick Stoeker to rebrand the company and make it resonate with the U.S. market. This success led to a vast range of projects: from packaging design and advertising to trade shows and point of purchase… from conceptual collaboration on the Rusk Being product line to being the image “gate keeper” for the brand’s six other divisions.

Creating a brand identity as dynamic as the competitive retail climate demands.

Noting the lack of small, independently owned boutiques in Los Angeles, the founders of As Of Now wanted to bring back the character and uniqueness that makes a retail space special and be a showcase for the best of L.A.’s independent design scene. Hired to create a brand identity for the physical and online stores, Stoeked designed a fluid and dynamic brand identity that easily translates to signage, business cards, hang tags, and social marketing. Creating a system of typo/photo creative executions, the identity evolves alongside the products for sale.

At Cross, the pen’s the thing. So when they approached us to completely revamp and globalize their image, we wiped the slate clean. Replacing their tried and true lifestyle images with simple yet highly iconic art. We made the pen the hero in every language – no translation required. The brand’s newest “fashion accessory” positioning is also is also well-supported by the clean, modern marketing spin – like having a perfect accessory for the perfect accessory.

Custom crafted products require a handcrafted brand identity.

Cucina Antica has been providing families with custom crafted cooking sauces, imported extra virgin olive and organic salad dressings for 20 years. We took this as inspiration for a revitalizing their brand identity creating an arresting labeling system on traditional jars and bottles that provide the brand with a strong shelf presence at Whole Foods Market, 365 and other specialty food retailers. A hand drawn logo, typography and illustrations are combined with a color coded system highlighting each of the product offerings. Taste that endures.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if your house could know what you want?

What if it could all be easy as plugging in a lamp? What if you could control it from anywhere? It would seem like magic. But it would actually be WeMo. Starting off as a no name sub-brand of the Belkin International portfolio, these home automation products were positioned to become a stand alone brand. Rick Stoeker lead the creative task force to create a memorable name and brand identity to resonate with consumers and become synonymous with home automation. The resulting body of work provided the the brand guidelines and creative executions for all WeMo and WeMo Smart (think Crock Pot and Mr. Coffee) products.

We’re both committed to creating products that are smartly designed, expertly crafted, highly functional, and luxurious in look and feel. Tumi was in the process of expanding from a brand that sells the best luggage in the world to a lifestyle company that provides products for every aspect of travel and business needs. As the branding arm of the in house team that effected this change, we redeveloped everything from retail packaging and branded hangtag systems, marketing campaigns, product branding, digital marketing, in store collateral and retail displays.

Kanex had a strategic goal of launching their on-line distributed consumer electronics into mass retail brick and mortars within a six month time frame. We were brought on board to execute a comprehensive review of the brand and to build a virtual team for a complete creative overhaul of the brand identity, trade show booth, website and retail packaging. From strong motivational positioning for the internal team to a small-but-mighty presence at CES, Kanex is becoming a stand out within their category. The successful rebrand won multiple international product placements for the organization that far exceeded their original goals.
